Once Again

Kimble Williams

You spill out all your thoughts and I listen

About the latest thing he did that can’t be forgiven

And as I’m about to interject I stop and wonder why

Why do I always sit here and listen to you cry?

Because this is getting played out like an old song

You going back to the same dude that’s doing you wrong

Tell me, what has he done for you lately

But give you grief and give another female a baby?

And he swears to you that you’re his only one

But goes and messes with another girl right after y’all done

But, hey, that’s what makes you happy though

Even though you got a good guy waiting for you in the shadows

You so quick to say that all dudes are no good

Yet you lust over a guy who never wants to leave his hood

Despite the fact that I want to give you everything

Not just the blind hope of a fake promise ring

But I keep all these thoughts in my mind

And listen to you complain about this guy one more time
