Black girls.....according to Denzel

goalaseaux

Denzel said to me black girls are basically his sex objects

Nothing more nothing less
The conversation we had T’was the night before Christmas
Has my thoughts in a jumbled mess
Who is this this Denzel?
I truly even do not know myself
He’s certainly no Washington
No Golden Globe Nominations under his belt
But if you could have heard the words he said to me
You’d understand how I felt
According to Denzel
He’s good off black girls.
Guess that Spanish lovin’ got him high
But a black girl will you have hypnotized
Her melaninated goodness to sweeten all the sours from the cold
World of white supremacy
Her curls that spring from her scale to the direction of the sun
Her full lips that will kiss away all the worries of the day
Her endless natural curves that’ll make any real man say
“Hey!”
But according to Denzel
I am nothing but a gorgeous black girl
Emphasis on the black
Because I am not a person, or a human or even just a regular girl
I am a black girl
And I’m pretty for one too
Yes He said this out of his mouth
Yes!
It is true.
I am nothing but an object of desire
Once the hormones have seizes to fluctuate
I’m retired
on the shelf
While I watch him treat the less melaninated like a queen.
But I do not desire to be your queen.
I just no longer want to be a thing.
I do not need a ring
I just need respect
Or maybe you require more intellect
More knowledge on your culture
More knowledge of self.
It’s a cold world out there for a black man
So why not warm up with some Hot cocoa?
No?
You prefer caramel, which is totally okay
But look at where the discrepancies lay
She has a culture
She has a background
She has traditions
She has knowledge of self.
What do you have?
Nothing but a name your slavemaster branded you with generations ago.
Puerto RIcan, he said she was.
At least he knows what she is
Which can replace the feeling of not knowing who he is.
That’s it!
According to Denzel
Black women are the ones to blame!
For his shame!
His lack of manhood
His lack of maturity
His ignorance
For his never ending battle between himself and his mind.
Himself and his skin
Himself and this society we live in.
Well you know what Mr. Denzel no Washington
I’m here to let you know that
Black girls are amazing
Black girls rock
But you do not know that
Because we are hidden and you are mislead
And we get misread
Uncredited. Mistreated.
Misrepresented.Misinterpreted.
And it make the others look good.
The spanish
The white
The Asian
The Arabic
The Natives.
We come in last place.
Since the era of the slaves
Everyone else has taken our place.
But black girls
Can’t stop.Won’t Stop
To show men like you
We are pretty.
Pretty damn pissed.
Pissed that you can’t see me clearly
Pissed that you don’t value me like I should be
Pissed that for you I’m just a body.
Pissed that If my hair isn’t straight you won’t want me
Pissed that I causes you absolutely no pain
To just brush by me without even glancing.
You’re good off us?
No. Nigga
We’re good off you.
We are done with the
“Black men don’t want us” blues
Lost black men do not want us
And we no longer want them
I refuse to comprise.
I want a black child
With a black man
A want a purebred baby.
You’re looking at me crazy?
Because who in their right mind
Fantasizes about a black baby.
You fantasizes about a baby you’ll sexualize
You are sick in the mind.
Because a mixed baby is the real mark of beauty.
