The Fibre In Our Souls.

kevin browne

It's not what's yet been, not until it's all done
created by man, a race that was never won
bringing some existence into a life unknown
from that moment onwards delusional steps rain down
when we began to realise how much love there is to gain
bought here merely by some form and taught about this 'life'
caressed into believing our religions and our Gods
bringing about our confusions and mistrusts dirtied out
in the 'palm of a hand,' a nail pinned Jesus to the cross
and in a fury, the skies turned light so that we could see
blinded by the scope of how great a human is
secrets we have all been looking for but yet to find
so I write these words with meaning and concern
leaving behind with the secrets I found for you to read
concise is a tale told in a million words or two by some
regretted nothing with whatever fell down the spiral tube
learning is a living that's what is important to most
going mad with the added thirst of drinking poetry
expressed belief so that a world came to us all
equality throughout, the fibres in our souls, richness in kind
faded away somewhere whilst trying to bring me home
sat upon our thorny thrones laying down the rules we own
break them and break them again to create a better world
places on our planet living is death in a certain kind of life
3rd world thought took advantage and helped us to give away
so what's right and whatever else you can call wrong or right
oceans alive with us so we can all learn to live a better life.

Wonder if one day we will know the answers. Nicely done.

    • kevin browne

I'm sure we will in time to come. the more difficult the question the better the answer will be. thanks, Augustus.

Thirst of drinking poetry - all is great, but like that in particular.

      • kevin browne

it's the 'thirst' we all have that keeps our pens firmly on the paper. thank you WritBeLight.
