Parallels

AJ

We build an arch
An arc de triomphe
Leaning in
To hear the whispered contemplations
Of each other's innocent whims
Quietly loving, liking, waiting
Scary are the days
When we have so much to loose
Scary are the nights
When I question you
All that I see is a shadow
And I don't know what you see in me
Soft words pull us in
Harmony and perfect pitch
When the soft words falter
Far apart
In the sarky wit of drained minds
We will never meet
In hazy views of tired eyes
We build an arch
But the pressure grows too loud
Now a gateway to conflict
You are my conflict of interest
You are my parallel
