Lastingless Shift

jmckeller

At a time when we both bailed out on love

God looked down and said not yet...

I have him for you

and

he's been molded by my hands
just as I crafted Adam into the perfect man,
to cater to my world
He will cater to yours
His strength will be your weakness
He will guard the heart that's been trotted over
And he will make you see that the best of both heavens do exist.
You don't have to turn away from what was destined to be,
He said.
Just because of your past,
Here is something that can last.
I promise, just as he will
And I stay, just as he feels
Don't burden your soul
It's his to hold
as his hand is held by me
You're both free In me
