Your love for me was burning red
Like those roses on Valentine's
Healthy, blooming, undead
But all I had to do was give it time

Slowly it started fading away
Leaves falling side by side
Declining every passing day
I nurtured it... or at least I tried

I drowned you in my affections
Expecting your love to grow
But you are like your roses soaked in my bathtub
That were drenched by the water and their petals changed position

I am nothing but discombobulated
Because I am still giving you my all
Maybe I started feeding you a little belated
That's why your now dead petals will forever fall...
