We Can All

Clark

We can all play with dolls

We can all play with action figures

We can all wear dresses

We can all wear suits

We can all cry

We can all be athletic

We can all make mistakes

We can all be intelligent

We can all shine

We can all drown

We can all feel

We can all fall

We all live together

But

We all stereotype together

All stereotypes hurt all of us

Now it's time to beat the odds

  • Comment from author about the poem: I am an feminist. That means that I believe that both men and women should equal rights. Not only that, but that we should all feel free to do what we love. We are all forced down in ways that society has pushed these gender stereotypes on us. Now it's time to fight back and show that we can all be who we want to be.
