Jackie & Johnny

Edthepoet

Jackie and Johnny
They met last year in college
Fell in with the wrong crowd
Sinking cheap gin with no tonic
Jackie needed money
Johnny knew a guy

It's a blow for blow
Go powder your nose
Get ready for the high
Hey Jackie this is Ruben
Look after him tonight
I'll make it worth your while
If he leaves here with a smile
Jackie be a good girl
Don't put up a fight
Johnny said you need to make your rent
So take another line
Then let my friend ruben here
Fulfill his darkest desires..

Jackie says johhny
This things got a hold of me
Won't you wisk me away
On a midsummer nights dream
Johnny can you hear me?
Quit play acting with me
I can see your chest moving
I can still see you breathe

The powder turns to poisen
Melted by the flame
The whites of her eyes
Fade away as the needle hits the vein

Jackie and Johnny
Both mid twenties
And unresponsive
Flashing blue lights
Lighting up the night sky
As Jackie comes around
she's shaking like a leaf
Screaming at the ground
"Johnny please Johnny breathe"
As his silence fills the sound.
