Kicking Autumn Leaves.

Edthepoet

Thinking about catching all these dreams
And if I should set them free
As true as next summer follows spring
They'll always catch up with me

Even the birds are bound to the sky
So just how free can we be?
Once in a while
With a silent smile
My mind is free from these boundaries

Kicking autumn leaves
In the shadows of these trees
Kicking autumn leaves
I reach for the setting sun
Kicking these autumn leaves
I feel parallel to none.
