Waiting for my daughter

Caro242

It's been a while

Since I've seen your smile.

This is a happy day,

You are nearly here, well on your way!

Your room is waiting, The house is cosy.

A fresh loaf and cake I've baked for your tea.

The doorbell rings,  a pleasing sound.

Kisses and cuddles. Big hugs all round .

The kettle is on and the teapot is waiting.

There is much catching up to do. Lots of chatting.

Suitcases come in and upstairs disappear.

It's teatime now, Time for much cheer.
