(a)live

---mari0

"Alive"

is often

used interchangeably

with

"living."

They aren't

the same

thing.

To be alive

is to live,

but to live

is not to

be alive.

To

"live"

is to

pump blood

to your

functioning  brain

from your

beating heart

and fill your

expanding and contracting lungs

with oxygen.

To be

"alive"

is to

feel

the full range

of emotions,

the good

and the bad.

A fine distinction, finely presented. To be living is not be alive, although one requires the other. However, we would all choose "the full range of emotions"
over just barely living. Great poem. - Phil A.

Very clever, very true. Beatifully expressed and presented.
