Love? Love?

Lana D

Love? Love?
Love is just a four letter word.
Nowadays, it means absolutely nothing.

You say "I love you" just to get in these jeans
"I love you" because you want something
You tell me"I love you" when you're trying to fix the problem

Love? Love?
Love is just another four letter word
What did love mean "back in the day"

"I love you" because I care about you & I'm here for you no matter what
You say "I love you" when you want our relationship to go higher
Saying "I love you" came with actions to prove that you love me

Love? Love?
Love is just another four letter word
Where has love gone?

"I love you girl" with then money & the strippers
"I love you darling" with the roses & the dresses
"I love you girl" meeting up with her & on the way to McDonald's
"I love you darling" going to meet the parents, pick her up, & take her to a restaurant

Love? Love?
Love is just another four letter word.
Will it ever mean anything?

  • Comment from author about the poem: It hurts me seeing old videos & listening to old love music compared to nowadays "love" music the meaning has completely changed. I want love the way it was back in the sixties and seventies.

Yes it Certainly means many things,,,,but The emotions trick us into believing everything we are told...when its real, you can feel it invigorate your entire being....a tingling all the way through the body and the soul

It will definitely be more than a four letter word when you feel the love and fall and loss yourself in love ,and it will hit even harder when you love someone without them knowing,I think it's the most beautiful yet painful feeling in the entire world .
