I fantasize of being in love
So deeply in love with you, my whole
But it is merely a dream, for in it, you love me
You don't nor ever will, at least in this universe. Maybe once in a parallel galaxy
So I keep the artificial, for it is my only happiness
Taking the minute portion of light, to fuel my joy
But still after all my signs and stares, you still don't understand
When understanding is the most important step,
Now, if you understood, you truly would love me.

I really *really* like the "?" in the title--I think it says so much and captures so well that uneasy kind of uncertainty. Also a huge fan of "But after all my signs and stares, you still don't understand"--beautifully wrought!
