“All are wanting to quench by drench
So, I start to ravenously pour
Malbec, or Pinot into vessel and
Anything with a generous hollow,
Laughs begin to occur and no more
Lows can be found in here.
Good beer and wine continues to
Loiter in challis but the
Anxious livers continue their tests,
Swimming with the joys of Bacchus,
Sombreness now no longer racks us!”

- Comment from author about the poem: Upon scrolling through my poem list on MyPoeticSide, I re-read the poem "New Year's Day (An Acrostic)" and realise that I only have one acrostic poem amongst them. So to celebrate "The Acrostic Poem" the next three that I will submit will be acrostics. Including acrostics I have found that I wrote on Christmas and New Year's Eve. The first of the trio was written down my local pub on a surprisingly busy Thursday evening entitled "He says "A Small Glass!" (An Acrostic)". I hope you enjoy.
