A label

The doctor says to me: "don't try to be someone you're not.

you are not labeled

The label is something you try to be

instead of acting like yourself

you disguise yourself

And then often

when you try to go back

to the old you

you realize that person is gone."

sometimes, though,

i look into the mirror at home

and a stranger's face looks back at me

and I smile
