Enemy

Wackyheartache4

Another spoon bent and burned, another lesson yet to be learned. More blood drops on the sink, more reasons not to think.

The habits never go away, just get the fix, and fix today. No need to hear what "friends" say. They've turned on you and don't care any way!

Tie it off! Push it in! Bright red clouds In the clear syringe! Problems fade, So does your mind! Relax and leave your life behind!

SHUT THEM OUT!                    SHUT THEM UP!                      YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE ENDING UP!

Just feed the beast inside your mind! Pawn all your shit, what ever you can find. Seen too much in your short life, There's no point living with your strife. Push the needle into your skin, Before you know it, the enemy wins.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I've never personally been down this road, but I have seen it happen to too many friends. This was my attempt to see through the eyes of a person struggling with addiction.
