I am not confused
About who I love
I am not confused
About who I am
I am not the one that is confused
That person is you
And by you I don't mean just one person
I meant all of the people who say
I am confused
I am not greedy
I can love more than one gender
I am not greedy
I love beyond gender
What's wrong with that?
I can see past the parts someone was
Born with
I see their personality and
Their hearts before their parts
You are the one that is confused
You say that my community will harm you
Destroy families
Hurt children
You are the one that is confused
Basing people on the parts they were born with
We can't choose what we are born as
You are the one that is greedy
You keep all of our basic rights
Like marriage
Using what bathroom we choose
Dressing the way we want
Loving who we want to love
You keep those rights under
Lock and key
So we don't "corrupt" them
We are not confused
We are not greedy
We are not a mistake
We are perfect
And guess what
We are FABULOUS

- Comment from author about the poem: This is to all the people that think who they love is terrible. Who were raised to believe that the LGBTQ+ community is wrong and hurtful to heterosexual people.
