New Year's Eve (An Acrostic)

AuburnScribbler

Neglecting the things that are

Evil errs both big and small that

Will be rectified in the end.

You will see that change will

Ease much rather than the stale,

All repeating, the same old

Rhetoric that would not at all

Seem right in the long run.

Everything is brittle as is the

Very core of a human being, so to strengthen the light

Endeavour to change a little, over time.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is the final acrostic of the trio, the prequel to "New Year's Day (An Acrostic)". Again this is out of season, but this poem designed to encourage a positive change in us, to urge us to help create better situations in a world that is currently threatened by so much dangerous action, and this thought should be an ever present one. Hope you enjoy.
