What More

jmckeller

If I asked you for one million bucks,

Would my luck have been more plentiful?
Were we apt to be bound to
The new fashion of momentary delight?
I could have thought twice...
Afterward, at least.

If I asked you for one million plane tickets,
Would your touch have been more truthfull?
Could the way that I clutched on to your conversation...
Have done me any more justice?

Perhaps, if I,
Never bargained for integrity,
This beating pillar of mine,
Un guarded abaft my ribs
Would not abide in affliction..

Yet, you appear jaunty..
Is it a facade?
Somethings will never matter to an irreversible sense.

Maybe eye was just a stooge

But thanks for setting me free...
