Meaningless

poetboy123

I roar out , yet no one hears

Sinking into the worst of my fears

As if it is all just meaningless

Fading away as I face the bleakness

There is a fire in my heart

Growing stronger, wanting to rip the lies apart

But I can feel it turning into ashes

My hopes and dreams, it all crashes

I push forward with nothing but an iron will

Sweating yet grinning all the way uphill

Then suddenly, I slip and fall

Struggling to stand, I can barely crawl

My hand reaches out towards the sky

With the truth, I'm destined to fly

The water rises over my head, I drown

No struggle, no sound

Pain propels me forward, past the limit

Obliterating the chains, as I jut

Breaking away, lifting my eyes to see

The light above and I am free
