I know I feel too much,
And trust too soon.
Maybe that's why your words cut so deep.
Why they tore me to pieces,
spoiling my soul.
Using up all the tears I had to spill.
Did you enjoy tearing me down?
Revel in the feeling of enlightening me with your harsh words.
When all your truths sprung free,
They crashed down and fell at my feet.
Made their way to my core,
Suffocating me with venomous spikes,
Caging in my heart.
Now you're just another stranger.
Not someone I would wave to on the street,
Or call when I'm feeling down.
Just another blank face passing by.
I guess we're strangers now,
Strangers with memories.
