Bridges

Bridges

By:

Gesenia Burley

 Storms come

Harsh winds blow.

At this time most drive me slow;

My grips: well I have none.

 The Crossings are hard

My bars shake;

I seemed to put all lives in stake.

 I can be tall.

I can be small.

All still will cross me; all in all

 But storms cross over;

The clouds roll over

Starting to make a spread,

For the sunlight is just ahead!

 Trust me; all will ride me

I’ll take you through storms; but don’t be mislead

Through these storms in Christ you must cleave;

 For He will never leave.

For storms always come, but clouds do spread;

Because the sunlight is always just ahead!
