Drink, road, gone

lynnspnsmolty

I've been driving down this road so long

And the radio plays the same song

I've been driving for hours

I pass by the same old towers

I only had a drink or two

Now where's my exit I need to get to?

I've been on this road so long

I must have done something wrong

Did I take a wrong turn?

Why is the sun starting to burn?

Someone help me I cannot leave

I'm running late it's New Years Eve

I pass the scenery one more time

Now it's littered with dirty grime

Please help me I want to get out

My voice is gone when I try to shout

It's hard to breathe now

I think I've forgotten how

Once again the town goes by

I look up at the angry sky

There's a bright light and a loud boom

I'm scared now I've met my doom

The road is gone

The song comes on

I'm on the ground

My bodies been found

I hope they're okay

It's my fault I hear them say

It's getting louder why can't I stay

A little longer, it's getting dark

Next time keep it in park
