Someone new, the usual

Adrianna Kjeld

It's funny, I thought I found the one today.
I laughed, prayed, and of course...I played.
You can cheat in almost any game, except this one.
I thought I'd found just the right one to call my hun.
This shit is ridiculous, I am so fucken done.
Ya know I really don't get it, I thought I'd really won.
We'd been off and on for more than a few months,
I look at it through his eyes and  the days I've said harsh goodbyes.
Leaned over to send a text in the name of getting my shoe tied.
There are some things I can't deny, those feelings I cooped up inside.
Your a city boy, your  not my type, maybe she'll be better along your side.
But if she fucks you up, I'll be there with my scythe.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'d been going with a good friend of mine for quite some time now, we\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ve fallen away from each other the last 6 months, I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m trying to finish school, he just graduated. \\\\r\\\\nI always had the feeling at the back of my mind, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' I damn near can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t stand this kid\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' but I have a flaming jealousy for this girl he\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s just went on one date with, but he must have felt the same way (something being off) otherwise he would have waited for me. Sorry for the informal tongue, poetry is a bit of a release for me.
