"Daddy are you home?"

magenta1

Once upon a time,
In a story not so far away,
I asked you not to leave,
Never to go away,
And we laughed for time was ours,
The days turned to night and we’d gaze at the stars,
Which Danced above us turning circles in your eyes,
Till I hit the ground spinning so fast I could cry,
Tears of happiness which flowed into a river of joy,
Transforming me again to that little boy,
Who runs like the wind barefoot over wet grass,
Holding tight to these moments that surely must pass,
From my eyes slowly disappearing and fading into time,
I capture them all like summers firefly's in my mind,
They light the darkness,
And ignite my days,
When your not near,
When your far away,
They are the unspeakable beauty that is you,
It leaves me breathless knowing not what to do,
Waiting and always wanting more,
Till the moment you come through the door,
And Yell: “Daddy are you home!”,
It is then I know ill never be alone.
