I Remember (+1)

Kurt Philip Behm

I remember art deco things,

I remember peaches and wine

I remember sirens in the night,

I remember waving goodbye

I remember the boardwalk on a cloudy day,

I remember an elephant in pink

I remember the fire engine returning,

I remember my father—I think

      Can You Rage

Can you paint the picture

brushless

Can you sing the words

while mute

Can you dance the lone

fandango

Can you rage

beyond your youth

Thanks, Roberto. Sometimes it seems like a thousand years ago—and then other times like yesterday.
