The Lost Night

Gino

Vices to embrace us

in chains

Beautiful curves

to seduce and break apart

our narrow aim

Tantalizing eyes

to beguile and bind us

in their trance

A voluptuous beauty

to stir and corner the mind,

with savoring lips

glossing in a provocative tone

from which there is no return

A delicious red-filled glass

sits at the table,

manifesting

the desirable approach

The lighted-filled arena

fills the thicket of the night

in colorful bends

of amber and haze

There's a moral fog

that thickens the plot

and runs wild

to the thunderous beat,

arousing temptations

to take sail

beneath the cover

of a moonlight dance…

…Coursing along

the desires of darkness

encircling the fires of sin,

an unrepentant offspring

consumes the lime-light

in unseasonal steps

to an unceasing lust

behind a veil of trust

Backsliding on a faith

that stirs

an irreconcilable fate,

for the night

meets at the crux

on the crook of twilight…

…And soon, we break apart

from the path of our Lord,

for we forsake our first love

from the flesh that holds us

to this world...
