You're Not Alone

Gino

Tears on my door,
don’t let go
for I'll be over

Don’t run far away
to find your no way out,
but stay with me

and I’ll get you through

Don't be afraid.
You’re not alone.
You'll find me in the end

A friend till the end

when mine came,

but you’re still not free

I was taken away so young

without warning,

then buried with no compass

to ever find my way back to you

And stabbed with an end

to cross me!

I know what your heart is yearning

within those red-filled tears that subside

into that mortal ground that submerged me

I will rescue you

within those lasting tears that rained on me

and sought to resuscitate me

Soon, you will sleep and be with me,

you know that I love you

Softly breathe in this gentle breeze

and don’t look back,
you know it’s almost over

so don't stumble on your way over

I'll sing you a song
to ease your way out
and see you through

Such a lasting chill,
oh, such a bitter cold

With no further hold to stay

your eyes begin to fold,
as a depth of despair
creeps up underneath you
to pull you in

And with no good-byes

to be said,

I’ll be waiting for you

on the other side

Then as you slowly

begin to sink,

I’ll come up

out of the shadows

to catch you

And soon in parting,

we’ll meet again

and we’ll be together

in a place I can fully understand

I miss your smile

in those beautiful eyes

that gave life back to me

Then embraced within the symphony

of your warmth

in those lovely kisses

that soothed and settled over every ache

of my being

I don’t want to be alone

in this darkness that encapsulates me,

for it is devoid of your light

that delivers me

So cry till the edge of time

and breathe your very last

And before you know it,
it will be all over

Keep my song in everlasting

within every reach

of our eternal wake,

before you abandon me

in your final despair,

for one last time
