'Erase you?'

'Erase me.'

I take the pencil,

Hovering over every word,

Everything we've ever done.

Prepared to take the eraser

And do just as you say.

I start scrubbing away,

But God, it's like ink.

It won't go away.

I do this until my hand bleeds,

And my heart is empty of motivation.

Days upon days,

I try and try,

But when I pull away,

I still see everything.

Erase you?

You never told me to write in pencil,

So I wrote in pen.

Beautifully done. Love the concept and especially enjoyed the last two lines.
    (not because it was finishing!)
