The Way You Hold My Soul

down the rabbithole

It's the way you hold my soul
You sink your fingers in my blood
And slowly stroke my veins
Drown deeper in the flood
Lay inside me and become one
Don't cry or hurt or hide
Just lay with me and hide together
As innocent as a child
We lay inside my soul
and cover up with skin
It's like a womb in here
Where our souls lie within
And I am yours
And you are mine
You have kissed my lips
For the longest time
But the adrenaline
That crawls on my skin
Is when you hold my soul
And lay within

  • Comment from author about the poem: The connection you have with someone can be so unexplainable. Like they touch something inside without even touching you. He held my soul and still does even though we no longer speak
