I knew what I saw was not real
I knew hiding my feelings doesn't rid me of what i feel,
But being banished time and time again
To a prison that guarantees me years of misery and pain,
They say it's for your future you've got to learn
Though I know staying here means I'll have no future at my turn,
The personsare so cold, mean and direct
One minute friends, harsh enemies the next,
They feed on your weakness, your every flaw
They bully you making you question is there a God,
Ive been in this prison, my sentence? FIVE.
God knows I'll never make it to the outside world emotionally, mentally or physically alive.

- Comment from author about the poem: This place I've referred to as a prison is my school. Every child in secondary school has to attend for five years and there is so much that can happen:bulllies, fights, neglecting, emotional break downs, deaths and the list goes on. I've witness many and ive never once seen something so right for you become the opossite. How can people live with pretending to be friends woth someone while wishing them to fall behind their backs. How can persons so young turn to killing their fellow school mates to look or feel like their gangsters. Why are their children suffering in schools and no one is taking notice. WHY IS LIFE FOR CHILDREN SO HARD AND DEADLY?????????????
