Heart of Glass

Edthepoet

Round after round
Shells litter this cold ground
Round after round
Preying for the bell to sound
The steerings locked
We can't turn around

There's no greater fall
Than falling out of love
Until you learn to fly

There's no greater call
Than calling your own bluff
Gentle Word from the wise

We both know
We've been acting strange
No true romance

We both know
It's all about to change
No second chance

Dry those eyes
& Kiss me goodbye..
Give me one last dance
Dry those eyes
& kiss me goodbye
Give me one last laugh

Bless these broken shards
From our heart of glass
They bled out our love
They left us sharing scars
