My Leash

down the rabbithole

I am always on the edge

Always saying goodbye

It plays on the tip of my tongue

But I never say
My heart won't allow the word

I know I need to say goodbye,

need to walk away,

because I love you too much to stay

You don't love me how I need to be loved

The pain of the half love you give me

Is a tightened leash,
pulling me to you

and it feels good as it tightens

and the pleasure builds

till I feel I'll fly.

Then the blood pours from the cut

your leash is making.

The pleasure is now pain

for you won't walk forward...

...and I can not walk away.
