The Grand Paradox

whoweare

Life is but a paradox

it with all we know

we think we get the truth

but really there's nothing to show

reality and perception are different more than same

From birth these ideas take root and grow

simple to complex. To find the truth? The stasis? No!

often our thoughts are not so.

True thoughts may come, against all odds

for the great paradox causes us to contemplate.

Emotion playing one side

Logic begins to break

yet from it comes all

through the chaos- relief

it makes no sense, yet sense is it called

for what is true and what is false

That is the greatest paradox of them all.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is a poem about what my mind is like when I am at moments of greatest clarity. Emotions are always present, and usually begins to destroy my reasoning, but somehow, I attain some of the strongest and most truthful realizations I have ever had. The way it happens makes no sense, but what I am left with makes all the sense in the world.
