The Snake That Striked Again

alivia

Everything was so perfect,

My smile was bigger than ever.

But then you made a new friend,

I knew you'd change, and not for the better.

All of my happiness was soon about to end.

Then the night came,

You told me we should just be friends.

But only at night you texted me,

Asking to come over,

Because you missed me.

Except...

I know this game all too well.

In what way do you miss me?

As the girl who loves the way you talk?

As the girl who loves the way you laugh?

Or as the girl who loved every thing in you she saw?

I thought maybe just maybe

But no all of this, never crossed your mind.

You can't see into the eyes of my heart

Ignored them with your new poisoned thoughts,

You've been bitten by a snake,

From the snake who also bit me.

He pumped your mind with toxic waste.

And you chose to believe him,

Because of your new found hate.

Of him I grow tired,

He always seems to get a hold, of the things I desire.

But by him you were sent

He saw my eyes were full of life again

He wondered what you had ,

That he didnt.

He tried apologizing for his mistakes.

But I had nothing else to say,

I was happy with another man,

But in his luck, he's masterful.

My love he made you betray,

You never thought to ask me,

So with my emotions you had a field day.

Now you both have a hate for me in common,

Y'all are closer than ever.

But I don't bother telling you to caution,

One day the truth will come from the darkness.

The old toxins will make you nauseous,

But hopefully for me,

All of this will be forgotten.
