Lost

lewisbrig

The sun cracked the hourglass,
And I watched
Time spill out in grains.
The sun cracked a sun dial,
And I watched
The shadows get lost in a moment.
The sun cracked my lips,
And I watched
A scarlet ribbon trace my chin.

The sun whispered a lie,
Lead me to believe there is a future.
That I'm not alone.

And then the moon appeared,
Like a tear lost in the darkness.
Searching until exhaustion made me blink,
Again

I am the moon.
And she is the sun.
