letter to my one true love.

Ruth Fadairo

You go,
It's your turn.
Your turn to make me feel the way I made you feel.
It's your turn to feel the grief.
Grieve the loss of what we once had
Because what we had was real.

You do know it's your fault ?
It's your fault. Your fault alone.
And now you've come back to me ?
Why ?
Leave me the hell alone.

Yet I embrace your comeback.
I want you to stay
In my mind I'm begging you
To erase all the pain and sorrow away

Here I am again,
Trapped in your web.
Trapped in your false promises.
Trapped, now I've forgiven your deceitfulness.
Now I'm sinking into the river of our deepest fantasies.

"You've set the bar high in my life"
That's what you once said.
Daydreaming about the fond memories we shared,
Whilst my tears are being shed

But I guarantee
You'll search for me
In every woman you pursue.
Because I know you loved me
Just as much,

Perhaps even more,

than I loved you.
