I am lost

BeYourself478

We go left and then right,                         Or did we go right and then left?         Have we turned this corner,                   Or are we heading west?

Did we cross this stream,                       And explored its mysterious groves?     Or sat under this oak tree,                           And admired its coves?

Have we lain on this grass,                   And stared up into the sky?                     Making animals and faces,                     Without a care why

Or are we still wondering the eternal abis,                                                              With no one to find us no matter how hard we wish?

Are we still walking blindfolded,           Our hands tied behind our backs         Whilst searching for each other,            Forever avoiding the cracks.

I believe we are laying,                             On the daisies in spring                         With no care in the world,                          In a place where were we always win.

But reality is harsh,                                 As dreams do not come true                 And I'm laying by myself,                     All the while thinking of you.
