Rain is tapping my window Relentlessly asking to come in, But I ignore
Snow falls gently onto my window asking to come in But I ignore
Sunshine flows through my windows Welcoming the day. But why should sun and nothing else be welcoming this way?
The sound of rain asking to come in Relaxes me and still
I choose to ignore this calling Coming from my windowsill.
The snow that falls excites me like nothing ever before But as soon as it waves and asks to come in I unforgivingly ignore.
But why can't everything be invited in, Whether it's ice, or cold or wet? Why do we welcome in the things that only look their best?
I believe everything should be treated as one So next time it rains I'll no longer look for the sun.
I'll embrace the rain and love it for what it is, And no longer take away from him what Is truly his.
The sunshine will still be invited, But so will everything else So if you were to take my advice Embrace what isn't yourself.

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem is basically a metaphor for the diversity that happens in the world and how is someone doesn't look or behave like you want them too then you ignore and shut them out. I believe it should be changed.
