Simple Musings

Seeker

I thought the light of knowledge would imbue

When thinking of a god and what it means

to visit endless spheres with fealty true

for what is sexless, and in form unseen

The tiresome tropes to limn a god for me

do not present a semblance of proof

Like judging wind as pouring rain at sea

Because I am a man with thoughts aloof

My heart has been abused too much for hope

But does a need for hope affirm belief?

Yet still, despite my doubts I blindly grope

for something to believe and soothe my grief

With Occam’s Razor thinking ought to pause

Can’t life's effects exist in want of cause?

We all need something to believe in Seeker. I like the questions you are asking.

So true Write, so very true. I think it takes something I don't have a lot of. Thanks for stopping by and reading.
