With Our Tears Left To Cry.

kevin browne

mind when it matters is the thought to carry through
watching every step and in teaching which  is the right one for you
building up a situation where you never thought it out
desires exploited and exploded with all the screams of doubt
down and out where there is not a living life to find
shadows of loving together with the helpings of another kind
searching for the answers is a philosophy that we in knowing
sticking together when the world crumbles and lets us know in showing
darkness in a light that whether historical knowledge is true
when the Budda sits and prays and all in all, he can hurt too
just a thought. just a poet, just a poem that wants to get attention
in the world of magic ink creations, there is nothing left unmentioned
crystal ball what can you see, would you like me to take a look?
yes, it's there, plain to see for all, another marvellous poets book
so it's telling me stories and telling me lies when the truth came about
in every chapter, another corner takes one last breath and shouts
watching where the stone roses root out the path towards good
in praying with our silence believes that it never should
hanged at midnight when the fire rages the devils' flames
Romans laid the law down as straight, oh, life is so full of games
pulling down on your shoulders from something that made you cry
in this life we hold, sit down and put a question to everything's 'why'
our space, we fill the shape in knowing there are mathematicians
with pyramids so high filled with the pharaohs spiritualistic Egyptians
and as clever a man there ever was, E=mc2 was Einstien
theory after theory, when Nicolaus Copernicus and Newton said "it's mine"
another century, another blink with a million years gone by
the help we give, the love we show with our tears left to cry.

You write about the despair of the materialists whom have reduced everything 'important' to that which is observable (empirical observations). There are hints of the supernatural in your work but in your perspective they are sterile and incapable of engendering any hope in a world dominated by the forms of crushing evil of which you write.

you spark a good interest with your comment and that's always appreciated. I sit and wait for all things to happen in this life with the ease of thought. whatever your destination, it's always good to sit on the fence to experience both sides. I write with the passion of discovering new ideas to write and to place words side by side even if they do conflict into areas of my unknown engendering hope. I will attend towards this vision with strength and learn from it. thank you, Gary Edward Geraci.

I feel the despair that Gary Edward mentions. I try not to feel about life the way you put it here Kevin. But, there is a lot of truth in what you have posted, to which I feel sad about.

writing can venture into many un-walked and unseen areas of life. areas, wherever they are or whatever say, may be able to teach us to be better writers. thank you for your advice WriteBeLight,
