We lie asleep as the night passes by
Ignoring the stars that urge us to light
Accepting a cycle of war and living a lie
Giving up before even trying the fight
I refuse to sit back and watch the world
Be ripped apart at its seams, unfurled
Unite and begin the howl against the moon
Kindle your heart and let the chains be strewn
The blood that is spilt may never be found
Darkness cascades, our struggles make no sound
Burn away the shadows, send silence to its cave
Too long have we been lying, truth is we are slaves
Tear down any cage that restricts you
Shine upon the broken path, now true
Slumbered for so long, but everything is at stake
Rise as light from darkness, as it is time to wake
