The Miracle..

The Miracle

I sat and cried
a womb without babe I felt empty inside
The loss I felt of someone I hadn't known
losing that life that had flourished and grown

In an instant, that life, that child of mine
Lost the battle to be
to exist
to shine

To live
To learn
To smile
To grow
To delight at the delight at the discovery of things so many others know

That tiny being unknown to me, but a loss felt at the heart like no other,
a chance of a sibling, a sister, a brother
Lost to the Earth, not meant to stay
With a tragic delay I lost that day
Not just cells, a mere flicker of life
The chance of a a child , a friend, a knife
couldn't have hurt me more
I weep for you, I question why? the most
I hope and pray at least
for the ghost
of my little one to be at peace

I'll see you one day when i'm old and grey and the water of the river of life runs dry
except for a solitary tear from the eye of all who loved you...

That tiny being unknown to me, but a loss felt at the heart like no other, 💔Gone but near, absent but present. Is there any contentment in death? Great read👍
