don’t forget
my lover
of the days
we were together
remember the past
when we were apart
and nowhere
near each other
never alone
but always lonely
and you’re far away
for us to cherish these moments together
we’ve been on this
road for too long
riding in a car made with seats of leather
I call my mother
and she tells me
that each day I’m
getting closer to my treasure
seasons pass
and it goes hot,
cold, bad, and good
weather
leaves fall
and feathers
fly wherever
and eventually land on
someone’s dresser
don’t forget
my dear
when we were
each others atmosphere
and we
didn’t want
to be
with another
do you remember
when we appeared
in each others
dreams?
that’s what
led us to
find one another.
