A Teary Eye Dry.

kevin browne

I looked up to the darkness of the sky at night and watched
I gave into a life where those deepest hurts are thriving
I gave my thought and then as all our dreams were touched
I dreamt of hopeful beauty which keeps a teary eye dry
I found light sat upon the mountain side waiting to be climbed
I created my tower of thoughts so we can look up and find
I waited for the reason and we waited for the chains to be off
I wished upon a happy blossom of life for all those to grab hold of
I granted God permission so he could shine the sun down on us
I helped the poetry lines down on this bark of white paper blank
I wanted to lift the world up when Hercules turned divine into Zeus
I knew tender cared and showed our history to be fascinating
I thought of living in a different world, one which is full of hope
I thought of miracles when everyone was low down and out of juice
I pray for Gods to be heard as one and in return the flame is lit
I rejoice in thinking and in believing that if we try just a little bit
I cleaned all the oceans deep so that the fish could breathe again
I gave our butterflies the beauty of life so they can remain the same
I looked to the jungle so all the birds, bugs and the bees can survive
I thank the Lord for existence and for keeping them and us all alive
I brave the waves in weathers when I know our tide will win the day
I and that in knowing when our children prosper, to live and play
I think a lot about human life and the animals and mammals too
I became myself when we gave the hope in our saviours and our grace
I think about the reptilians, other living creatures, there's quite a few
I created magic and made us smile when everyone wouldn't
I straightened up the armies and all the wars of ours will be stopped
I build the roads that turned every corner even when we couldn't
I broke down the barriers when everyone got built up and blocked
I persisted with the courage so we can all stand up and shout
I give you faith my friends, we have no fears, anger or no doubts.

Hey Kevin - check out C.S. Lewis here (under Poets). "On Being Human" Blows my mind - you've got (your work has) some of his "mystic" qualities.

I have just read it and my oh my doesn't every word fit into perfect place. I love it too and if like you say my work has similar "mystic" qualities then I feel overwhelmed by your comment. thank you, that is very kind of you to say that and show the "on BeingHuman" poem. it's beautifully written. I wish I could be as good as him.
