I Loved You (In Another Body)

Papi Y

Stay for a moment
Lets converse about something other than love
I don't want to converse about anything that is disturbing us
Conversing about it has me fettered in chains

I know it ain't easy for you to look me in the eyes
I know you're hurting, but the past can't be changed
Love hurts and it pains me to say it made me hurt you
I'm sorry for what transpired, I'll show myself the door
I am deeply remorseful and the immense pain I'm suffering will stay with me forever
Because although I let you down, I loved you
I loved you, I love you and I always will
Even though I let you down, I always will
I'll pay with every tear my infedelity
And for causing you pain, I will pay for it

So many times you were by my side
So many nights I slept alone
So many days I went without your embrace
To tell you the truth, I felt trapped
I didn't mean to hurt you
This wasn't supposed to happen
I loved you more profusely than you could ever imagine
And this happened, why did It have to
You have no idea, how much it flustered me hurting you
But in between shots I went searching for you and I...

Drank...alcohol and I loved you
In another body I loved you
And I was drowning in alcohol and I kissed you
Your lips...I kissed
In another set of lips...I kissed you
I made love to you and in the morning I woke up next to someone else

I'm already paying the consequences for my mistake
I'm suffering the effects of that fatal misstep
I find myself alone and now your absence is painful
I can't believe it, my life is pointless just like a pencil
In another set of lips I kissed you
And I've come to the conclusion that it ain't the same
I cry and cry, I miss your presence
You were my blessing in disguise
Sometimes I feel like my life is slowly fading away
It pains me knowing you don't even want me as a friend
