A shook dream

Dodger312

In your room sitting up on the small twin mattress
Remembering the dyspeptic memories of the past that it possesses
Eyes rusted and in need of sleep
The room a hole so dark so deep
Lost you are, you cry and you weep
A final feel around
A clear glass of liquid you found
A contrary voice you hear
Whispering, " sip the clear"
At first the feeling of trepidation
Then a feeling of buoyancy and meditation
The lips wrap around the thick glass
The liquid splashing against the mouth
One sip, down your throat so smooth so fast
Water the taste yet the tongue reacts
Moving feeling cold as a snakes tail is in intact
Hand over your mouth, trying to get up
Your body not responding appears to be stuck
Finally ripping away trying to find a door but wait
Looking back at the bed your body alive and still there
Taking another sip of the clear of dare
Disbelief and confusion conceives a stare
Your physical self is alive and moving
What are you a spirit experiencing nostalgia of the past living? Or an hallucination caused by a hallucinogenic?
