Like One Thousand Sunsets

CasualCasualty

Bright flash on a quiet day
Wish it didn't have to end this way
But this is our fate
Death falls on an empire of hate
Like one thousand sunsets
Dropped by the fist of an angry god
All things must come to pass
Desert sands melt into glass
Hot winds blow into fire
Rise up like a glowing spire
Bathed in the bright light
Eyes go white in eternal night
A thousand suns just for fun
It's done with nowhere to run
Look to the sky for answers why
Yet in the mind they lie
That which is you dies with but a sigh
Open door with a light inside
This is the end of the ride
Step through to the other side
