Procrastination

nancy akbari

Procrastination

Lying down on the couch listless

Just one hour after a good night's sleep.

Nothing which must be done.

Everything can wait until later

Even tomorrow, or even the day after.

I don't feel guilty.

I am retired.

I've paid my dues.

I need to set up my hammock

To take my naps

But even that can wait.

And it has

For five years now.
