As the band, takes the stage
I look on with, anticipation
The music plays
The floor starts shaking
Percussion Banging
Bass is booming
Guitar screeching
Sound Explodes
The vocalist screams and I awaken
With widened eyes, I come alive
The crowd he beckons
To lose their mind
Back and forth
We collide
Heavy metal
Energized
In the moment, a realization
A feeling that, for so long
I had ignored
And now belongs.

- Comment from author about the poem: I went to a local concert the other day and for the first time moshed with my friends. I felt more alive than I have in quite some time.
